TL;DR: Award-winning designer, architect, and researcher based in NYC and Norway. Bold, analytical, and optimistic.
Hello there. I am a designer and researcher splitting my time between New York and Norway. I work as an independent innovation consultant and am the design director of Framlab, a NYC and Bergen-based studio for design and applied research. I am also the founder of Modularity Lab, a research unit studying modular systems, and serve as an advisor with the United Nations REM group, Antler, and GRIP.
My work has been awarded the Falling Walls Art & Science Award, the Build Awards, and the Philippe Cret Medal for consistent demonstration of design excellence. I have previously worked for Toshiko Mori in New York, RRA in Oslo, 3XUID in Copenhagen, and Titoma in Taipei.
In addition to my professional work, I have taught at institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, and Columbia University, and served on juries for programs such as the A+ Awards and Rethinking The Future Awards. Currently, I am also immersed in the world of horticulture and yoga, while trying to master the art of bread baking.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to discuss a project, collaboration, or just say hello!
