Andreas Tjeldflaat is a Norwegian architect and design engineer based in New York City. He is the founder of Framlab, director of Modularity Lab, and member of the faculty at Cornell University’s College of Architecture.

Andreas Tjeldflaat is a Norwegian architect and design engineer based in New York City. He is the director of Framlab, a NYC and Bergen-based social innovation studio and partner in Himmelnord, a Bergen-based architecture firm. Previously, Andreas has practiced with leading architecture firms, such as Toshiko Mori Architect in NYC and Reiulf Ramstad Architects in Oslo, and worked with Titoma in Taipei,

3xU in Copenhagen, and Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Andreas has taught at renowned institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, and the New York Institute of Technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. 

Upon graduation he was awarded the Paul Philippe Cret Medal for consistent demonstration of design excellence. Andreas is currently conducting research on the architectural capacity of modularity, while trying to master the art of baking bread.
